                                                  Kikka was founded in 1986 by Tonny Soesanto,
                  first as a restaurateur and then as a sushi supplier for markets in the greater Los Angeles Area.
Since then, Kikka has grown rapidly throughout the nation to include locations in more than fifteen other states, with clients ranging from supermarkets, businesses, and restaurants to universities and hospitals. Originally specializing only in sushi, Kikka has since expanded its menu to include a number of other delicious and popular Asian dishes, ranging from Japanese tempura to Chinese noodle bowls, to Korean staples such as bibimbap, to even some Indonesian and Vietnamese dishes. 

As CEO, Tonny Soesanto has participated in the evaluation, expansion, planning, and day-to-day operations of Kikka. He insists on the best of everything for Kikka customers. Under his guidance and management, Kikka received the California Restaurant Writer Association award during Kikka’s humble beginnings in 1987. Prior to Kikka, Tonny owned and manage two Edokko Restaurants in Lawndale and Ontario, California.

Tonny received a Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering at UC Berkeley, where he published a paper on fructose, sucrose, and glucose, and learned his bear instincts to catch, cook, and eat fish.  He then earned his Masters in Chemical Engineering from the California Institute of Technology.
